What RouteMuse can do today, and where it’s going

routemuse-road-trip-planning-features

RouteMuse is a road trip planning tool. You tell it your start and end city, what you like to see, and how many hours you want to drive per day — and it builds you a complete guide.

What’s in the free preview

Before you spend anything, you get the full route broken down day by day, estimated driving times, overnight stop suggestions, and a cost breakdown covering fuel and tolls by country. It’s genuinely useful on its own.

What’s in the full guide

Upgrade, and you get a complete PDF delivered to your inbox, usually within a minute. It includes:

  • Day-by-day itinerary with sightseeing recommendations matched to your interests
  • Fuel cost estimates based on your actual car and fuel type
  • Toll breakdown by country, including flat-rate vignettes for Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia, and others
  • Ferry detection — operator, sailing time, and approximate cost flagged automatically
  • Navigation and accommodation links per day

Three plans: Solo Run at €3.99, Two-Pac at €4.99 for two guides (useful for return routes), and Full Tank at €19.99 for ten. Guides never expire.

What’s coming

We have a clear list of things we want to add, and some of it came directly from people who tested the app — so thank you for that.

  • Stopover cities – the ability to add specific cities you want to pass through on your route
  • Restaurant and bar suggestions along the way, with filters for fine dining, local, seafood, family, and more
  • RV and campervan mode – Suggest camper sites for sleepovers along the way
  • More granular ferry preference controls — include, avoid, or only when necessary
  • More accurate toll calculations using real toll data
  • Public transport mode – plan your adventure by train, bus, and other public transport, including rideshare options for connections between cities
  • A travel resources section – speed limits, local laws, vignette links, and border information by country
  • Saved preferences – your car, currency, and distance units remembered between sessions

We’ll share updates as they land. No spam, just feature news and the occasional useful thing for travelers. You can sign up for the newsletter below if you want to stay in the loop.
