RouteMuse — Terms of Service Last updated: 4 April 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the RouteMuse website and application (collectively, the “Service”) at routemuse.me and app.routemuse.me, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and RouteMuse (“we”, “us”, or “our”), operated by its owner, governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia.
2. Description of Service
RouteMuse is an AI-powered road trip planning application that generates personalised travel guides based on user-submitted trip details. The Service includes:
- A free route preview based on user-submitted trip details
- Premium full-guide generation delivered as a PDF via email
- A guide credit system for purchasing individual guides or bundles
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration To access premium features, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
3.2 Account Accuracy You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. RouteMuse reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts where information is found to be inaccurate or misleading.
4. Guide Credits and Payments
4.1 Credit System Guide credits are required to generate full premium road trip guides. Credits are non-transferable between accounts.
4.2 Pricing
- Solo Run: €3.99 (1 guide)
- Two-Pac: €4.99 (2 guides)
- Full Tank: €19.99 (10 guides)
Prices are charged in EUR. If you pay in another currency, your bank or card provider may apply a conversion rate.
4.3 Guide Credits Never Expire All guide credits, regardless of which plan they were purchased under, do not expire. You may use them at any time after purchase.
4.4 Payment Processing All payments are processed securely by Paddle (paddle.com), our authorised Merchant of Record. Paddle is responsible for collecting payment, handling VAT and sales tax obligations applicable in your jurisdiction, and issuing receipts. RouteMuse does not store your payment card details. By completing a purchase, you also agree to Paddle’s terms of service and privacy policy.
5. AI-Generated Content
RouteMuse uses third-party artificial intelligence services (OpenAI) to generate road trip guides. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information
- Route suggestions, driving times, cost estimates, toll figures, fuel prices, and point-of-interest recommendations are provided for general planning purposes only and do not constitute professional travel, navigation, or financial advice
- Toll and fuel cost estimates are approximations based on average rates and may differ significantly from actual costs due to pricing changes, route variations, vehicle type, and driving conditions
- You are solely responsible for verifying route information, road conditions, border crossing requirements, visa requirements, and any other travel-related details before and during your trip
- RouteMuse does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any generated content
6. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own terms and privacy policies:
- OpenAI — used for AI-powered guide generation
- Google Maps Platform — used for route distance calculations, location autocomplete, and map links. Use of Google Maps features is subject to Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- Paddle — used for payment processing and tax compliance
- SendGrid — used for transactional email delivery of PDF guides
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its related systems
- Resell, reproduce, or redistribute any generated content for commercial purposes without prior written consent
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
8. Intellectual Property
The RouteMuse name, logo, website design, and application code are the exclusive property of RouteMuse and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. AI-generated guides delivered to you are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use only.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RouteMuse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: loss of data, loss of revenue, personal injury, or property damage arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
RouteMuse’s total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to RouteMuse in the three (3) months preceding the claim.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
11. Termination
RouteMuse reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at its sole discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that RouteMuse believes violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, RouteMuse, or third parties. Upon termination, unused guide credits may be refunded at RouteMuse’s discretion, subject to the Refund Policy.
12. Changes to Terms
RouteMuse reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such notification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service and any disputes arising from or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal proceedings arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Republic of Serbia.
